Krishnashthami is a one of the Hindu festivals which is celebrated with great pomp. The festive day marks the birth of Lord Sri Krishna and we as devotees follow a lot of traditions associated with the great day.
One of the age old traditions is dressing up little babies and kids at home with costumes and accessories that Lord himself wore as a kid.
You will need a piece of cardboard, golden colour craft paper, glue, decorative items like pearls, kundan stones, hangings, and a piece of thread tying around the head.
Cut the cardboard piece into a shape of crown. Cut the golden paper in the similar shape and stick on the cardboard.
Decorate the crown with motifs, hangings, stones and pearls creatively. Attach peacock feather and a thread/string at each end of the cardboard piece.
The entire Krishna crown making should not take you more than 30 minutes. It is that easy!
I believe in making handmade things at home and preparing Krishna costume myself personally rather than buying accessories and other fancy dress materials from online sites or stores.
